"I am impressed with the quality of care and services available at Mill Street Residence. I know my patient’s needs are being continually monitored and I also appreciate the timely phone calls alerting me to any changing physical conditions. From a health care perspective, I truly believe Mill Street Residence keeps the best interest of my patients in mind."

"As an only child living 1400 miles away from my dad for the past twenty years, I have lost many hours of sleep dreading the day he could no longer live on his own.He has lived in Minnesota his entire life, and has enjoyed virtually every minute of it. He has lived in Fergus Falls since 1948. He has a great outlook and loves his town. I could not bear to move him to Washington state for my convenience. Fergus Falls is his home. When medical professionals suggested Dad move to an assisted living environment, all recommendations from family and friends led me to Mill Street Residence. I knew when entering the door that the environment was a safe, dignified, and friendly one. I feel reassured knowing there is a full time RN on staff, and that Dad gets regular exercise, socializes, and even goes on drives in the countryside that he loves so much. I email members of the staff whenever I have questions and I get prompt replies. I have received emails alerting me to when Dad has been ill. I even received a Christmas gift suggestion via email because a staff member noticed a need! I know the residents get individual attention. I feel like Mill Street is a very caring and supportive "community." I sleep much better now knowing Dad is living in such a great place in Fergus Falls, and that he is happy."

"When Dad had a stroke which suddenly affected his vision, memory and balance, it was clear he could not go back to hishome and live alone. We needed to find the right fit for him. Mill Street Residence has been there for Dad with excellent staff who are so tuned in to their residents needs. I have been impressed from day one with every aspect of service providedand my father is very happy in his new home as well. He enjoys wonderful meals in the dining room, exercise classes during the week, bible studies, coffee with new friends, outings in thecommunity and a variety of activities that keep him engaged in life around him."

"My precious mom has lived in the Fergus area her whole life and in her home for over 50 years. I live in the Twin Cities as her only child. After my dad passed away, mom was left alone, in questionable health with no satisfactory resources to rely on. We tried home services for a period of time and meals on wheels but with the approaching winter months and my own nightmares of her falling on ice or down the stairs, I felt a move was necessary for my mental health and her safety. We visited Mill Street, were greeted most graciously and she was able to enter a respite furnished apartment the next day! I never thought the move would occur so quickly and had braced myself for a long search and maybe even a waiting list. Even so, it was an emotional journey with happy results. Though it was nearly the hardest thing I’ve done, the fit seemed right because of the people I met. The kindnesses of staff, quality of care, attention to detail and true devotion for eldercare has never faltered at Mill Street. My mom has blossomed because she has social opportunities, balanced meals, health care access and medicine administered to her, and her own apartment. She goes to exercise class everyday and has enjoyed the programs she chooses to go to. Staff communicate regularly with me and I feel included in her life and daily needs."

"My mother has lived at Mill Street for more than seven years and enjoys living there very much. The staff is very kind, courteous, respectful, and always willing to assist you in whatever needs to be done. The numerous activities allow Mom to pick the ones that she wants to do (bingo being one of her favorites). The food is great and the servers are pretty wonderful themselves. I don’t know how they keep finding the good ones. We look forward to many more good years at Mill Street where the care is excellent and the people are just great."
