I was hired by Lake Region Healthcare Corporation in 1995 to develop their assisted living program. As Director of Mill Street Residence, I have the overall responsibility to ensure that the day-to-day operation runs smoothly. Marketing, public relations, customer service, human resources, regulatory and administrative duties are all a part of my daily responsibilities. I am a certified Assisted Living Professional and a licensed MN nursing home administrator. My favorite past times include anything outdoors whether it’s hunting, fishing, hiking or biking. My wife Lori and our children Derek, Ryan and Shelby have called Fergus Falls “home” since 1992.
I consider myself to have the best job at Mill Street in that I get to spend much of my time with our wonderful tenants. As Mill Street Residence's Activities and Community Relations Coordinator, my role involves attending to, and stimulating, the social and recreational needs of our tenants, along with our wonderful Activity Department. A small portion of our social programming includes outings and shopping excursions, daily in-house activities, exercise groups and intergenerational groups with schoolchildren of all ages. A portion of my time is also spent marketing our lovely building and touring with prospective tenants to make them aware of all the great services we offer at Mill Street Residence. It’s a great balance. My husband Tom and I are Fergus Falls natives and we live just outside of town with our 3 daughters, Madeline, Annie and Tessa.

I have found my job as Environmental Services Coordinator to be an extremely rewarding position. My day-to-day responsibilities include the maintenance and upkeep of our plant and equipment, repairs/work orders for our tenants, and supervision of our housekeeping department. Originally from the Twin Cities, I relocated to the Fergus Falls area with my wife Jana and son Kyler. Much of my free time is spent in scouting activities with my son and on my computer as the Internet has become a passion of mine.
My role as Home Care Coordinator includes assessing tenants to ensure that Mill Street Residence can meet their health care needs. It is very important that we provide individuals with the services they require without taking away any of their independence or abilities. I also assist with the coordination and oversight of home health care services and supervision of home health care staff. I am available to all tenants in the event that they are experiencing health concerns and will facilitate appropriate intervention for them. My husband, Jeff, and I live in Fergus Falls and have two grown children, Sara and Alan.
As the Administrative Secretary of Mill Street Residence, it is my responsibility to oversee the day-to-day functions involving our business office and reception areas. This includes tenant record keeping, tenant billing, answering incoming telephone calls, greeting tenants, family and visitors, and keeping good relationships. My husband Tom and I live a few miles outside of Fergus Falls with our children, Emily and Tyler, and our two dogs. I enjoy spending time with my family and many activities in the great outdoors.
I'm Kathy DeLaCruz and I'm the Dietary Coordinator for Mill Street. I've worked in all areas of food service since I was 16 years old. In that time I have done everything from waitressing to dishwashing to managing an entire kitchen. I understand that every position is a vital part of the food service operation and I have learned that quality is the most important ingredient in keeping your customer satisfied. I am committed to providing the very best product and service for the tenants of Mill Street Residence. I live in Fergus along with my husband, Joe and our daughter, Trinidad and our 2 dogs, Perdy and Buddy. My husband and I moved here in 1998 from New Brighton in order to be closer to family. We attend Hilltop Celebration Church and enjoy spending time with our friends and family.
